Please note----- if you plan on visiting during the Winter months, ( November- April) it is required to have a 4WD vehicle. The cabin is located off dirt roads that can get very muddy/slippery/snowy. The roads can get very muddy and impassable in a 2WD vehicle.
Our cabin is 8 miles (20 minutes) from the EAST Zion National Park entrance on the Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort property. It is very remote among the beautiful ponderosa pine trees. If you prefer to avoid the crowds, our cabin is perfect for you! It is also located within walking distance to some of the most epic hikes on the East side of Zion, to include Observation Point, Cable Mountain and Deer Trap. Our cabin is the perfect place for a family, up to six adults or a romantic getaway for two. Relax on the front or back porches and enjoy the majestic surroundings of Zion National Park. You most likely will be visited by the abundant wildlife like deer, wild turkeys, rabbits and birds. The location of the cabin guarantees privacy as there are very few other cabins in the area.
The cabin features a single master bedroom with a King bed, and an upstairs loft with a king and queen bed. The upstairs loft area has sloped ceilings with limited headroom.
On the main floor is a single bathroom with tub and shower with a stacked washer and dryer. The dining table seats up to 6 in the kitchen area. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare your meals. Open living room area with comfortable seating for 6, large HD TV with Direct TV and DVD player with a small selection of DVD’s, AC unit, heater and beautiful electric fireplace.
Outside, you will find covered front and back porches with lounge chairs and a gas BBQ. There is a firepit out back where you can enjoy stargazing or S’mores.
Our cabin is remotely located, so if hiking, biking, ATV's and/or sight seeing is part of your itinerary then this is the perfect location.
Besides just enjoying the peace and quiet of the cabin, Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort is located 2 miles from the cabin and provides many activities for all ages as well as restaurants for dining options if desired. They offer activities for you to enjoy such as the swimming pools, hot tubs, horseback rides, tennis courts, basketball courts, play ground, volleyball court, ping pong, billiards, miniature golf, multiple guided activities, and much more which are all available at an additional cost.
Special Note: Water for the cabin is delivered from the Ponderosa Resort to a water holding tank located at the cabin. Water for the cabin is completely safe to use but since it is held in our tank, we suggest you bring your own bottled drinking water. Water from the tap is perfectly safe and usable for cooking, showering and everything else.
There is free WIFI at the cabin . Phone service is spotty at best. Some providers may have no service at all.
